About Us

Our Story

Mentee’s story begins in the heart of remote Indigenous communities, where our founder’s journey as a homeroom teacher, learning support specialist, and Indigenous enhancement educator laid the foundation for our mission. These experiences, rich in cultural engagement and educational challenges, have shaped our unique perspective on the integration of mental wellness within education. As a PhD candidate actively engaged in Dr. Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry program, our founder brings a blend of academic rigor and empathetic understanding to our work.
