We design curriculum, online and blended learning modules, and video-based learning with educators, organizations, and communities, with equity, accessibility, and community knowledge built in from the start.
Mentee's learning design practice begins with education. Our founder is an Ontario Certified Teacher and former school administrator, our team includes other certified teachers, and together we bring together curriculum, instructional design, research, and media production under one roof, so a learning project does not have to be split across several vendors.
Whether the work is a short video module for municipal staff, a library of online learning modules for a national organization, or curriculum built around place and community, we work alongside partners on the content, the engagement and permissions that surround it, and the format learners will actually use. We also advise on learning platform (LMS) needs, and we design for accessibility and equity from the first draft.

We develop curriculum grounded in local knowledge and priorities, working with communities, educators, and knowledge holders so that what is taught reflects the people and places it serves.
We design online and blended learning modules that are clear to move through and easy to use, structuring content, activities, and interface together so learners can follow the material without friction.
We plan, film, and post-produce short video modules, including community engagement and permissions beforehand and captions and accessibility features afterward.
We set design standards for equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging in learning content, and build in accessibility from the start, including captions and plain-language writing.
We help organizations work out what they need from a learning management system (LMS), compare options against those needs, and prepare their content and teams ahead of implementation. We advise on the choice; we do not build the platform itself.
We engage the communities and Nations whose knowledge shapes the content, through facilitated conversations, interviews, and focus groups, and agree on permissions and review steps before anything is filmed or published.
A bilingual national resource hub for Indigenous education: lesson plans and teacher guides, a video library, a searchable resource catalogue, an interactive story map, and Elder knowledge, with micro-credential pathways in development.
Live and growingSupport for PBS North's Native Report curriculum, pairing their videos with lesson plans and an interactive First Nations map so educators can bring place-based learning about Minnesota First Nations into the classroom.
DeliveredA culturally grounded teacher assessment and mentorship framework developed with the Stó:lō Education Committee and Seabird Island Community School, now shared as a 24-page tool for educational leaders.
DeliveredWe are redesigning a series of learning modules for sport leaders: instructional design and user experience, equity and inclusion design standards, learner re-engagement built into the journey, and advisory support on learning platform selection.
In progressWe are developing a short, self-paced video learning module series to give municipal staff a grounded foundation in the Nations, lands, and waters of Saanich: curriculum, community engagement and permissions, filming, post-production, and accessibility, all in one team.

Get in touchCurriculum development, instructional design for online and blended learning modules, and video-based learning, along with the engagement, permissions, and accessibility work that surrounds them. We can take on one piece or the whole path from outline to finished module.
Yes. We structure a series so that every module follows the same design standards, reads the same way, and can be maintained by your own team. That consistency is what lets a library of modules grow without losing quality.
We build resource hubs and websites that host learning content, like the Knowledge Weavers Hub, but we do not build learning management systems (LMS), and we say so up front. We advise on what you need from an LMS, help compare options against those needs, and prepare your content and team for implementation.
We set design standards for equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging at the start, and build accessibility in as we go, including captions, plain language, and clear navigation. It is far easier to design this in than to retrofit it.
Yes, and the process matters as much as the content. We engage local Nations early, work out permissions and review steps with them, and film and edit with those agreements in place before anything is published.
